Whoa, some fun ones out there. I was the only one out there too. There were some good overhead waves that were workable, hit the lip, long ride style. Some waiting between sets, but good stuff still. Not too stormy...

2/5 AM
Time: 8
Location: Turmo, PB Point
Tide: +4
Direction: 261
Size: 2-4'
Board: Double Eagle
Water Temp: 56
Wind Conditions: none really (but storm did blow in later in the day)
Comments:
The only thing breaking was the point. It had not yet picked up. Paddled all the way to the point and got nervous about the rocks because the board is still so nice. After sitting for a long while, I caught one and that was fun. I waited around for a while to catch another and then started to paddle back in, but it had picked up and was much better inside. Caught a bunch of fun rides and worked on my cross stepping.

Small but fun. Probably could have gone without the leash if I the board wasn't so nice. There was a girl out their in a dayglow wetsuit that was pretty good who was getting a lot of nose time.
Michela's first day today.

2/1 Lunch

Wind Conditions: Slight, summer like day

Summer like day in air temp and surf size. I got some fun peelers though, don't get me wrong. Got to use the old "no worries, It's Turmo" line when someone apologized for getting in my way.
Sold the G3 backup bike around 10 with the homemade surf rack. So it's pretty much like I rented a bike while I waited for the return of the Electra.
After surfing, I went to home depot and got supplies for making a new surf rack for the south patio and for the Electra. Also got some stuff to organize the hardware closet. Watched a bit of the Super Bowl while between painting and cutting.

Not much to report. Went out towards Old Mans. It was so flat that there were divers out spearfishing where the waves normal would break. Did end up at a fun little break that would jack up and serve a fun right, but it was really inconsistent.
Went out around 3 and body surfed for a few waves. This is the first time I've worn fins in... 20 years? I got these fins as a partial trade on the Carbon Fiber Sector 9. Fun and a good workout. Just needed a bit more push in the waves...
We went to see Slum Dog Millionaire and then dinner at Dakotas downtown. I don't think I've been to a movie in a couple of years. The last movie I saw was Mr & Mrs Smith... maybe that's why I haven't been back.
