Size: 1-3
Board: Double Eagle
Water Temp: 64

Comments:
Quick session, not much out there. A few guys in the parking lot were talking of going to San O, probably actually getting some surf up there.

The tide was really low and I could see what looked like an old pipe cutting diagonally from the Pump House towards the Point.

Stopped in and used my park pass for a really quick session. Caught a few rides quickly before the sun set since the park closed 15 minutes before sunset. Fun little mush balls coming in.

Really fun workday lunch surf. Not crowded at all. Lots of fun shape to work with. I can't believe that we are moving to the Tech armpit... It was a bit hard to sleep tonight. I kept waking up and thinking about the commute.

Supposed to be downtown today at 8:30... Got out and caught some fun rides. Forgot what a fun board this can be. Ripping some good stuff in the beginning. but lost the edge towards the end. I couldn't make the drops the right way and the wave would already be closing out.

Hit a rock on the way out where I didn't even know there were rocks. Looks to be just a fin ding... whew. Not many people out for this May gray kind day. Grabbed several in front of the bathrooms and then a few more outside to the north. Talked to an older graybeard about my board as I was packing up. I continue to get tons of complements on it. Most people think it's 9' and comment on the width.

Little windy and I debated bring down a fish. Probably would have been better for my tender pits, but the DE is always a fun board. Got some fun rides mostly around the pump house.

Met up with Jen-a-tech at Pizza Port to celebrate her La Jolla half. Brought the pill up north in case a second session was in order, but Alison was to cold by that point.

Size: 2-4, 5'
Board: Wedding Board
Water Temp: 52
Wind Conditions: none remembered

Comments:
Not a lot of push on it today, but I did end up getting a few fun ones. Alison was watching for a bit because the outdoor yoga class didn't happen. Which might be good since the have a pig and the whole swine flu thing. Last wave was truly worth the wait. I was out about as far I could on the board considering the conditions. The wave just jacked up out and I jumped down the face and carved it up all the way inside - past some beginners that almost nailed me earlier.

Meet Adam there. I was a little late because I had to get gas and then I ended up forgetting my wet suit. Luckily Adam had an old spring in his car (my old Body Glove - ended up getting a friction rash under my arms). Mike met us out there a bit later. Some big sets were coming through. Lost the board on a turtle once. Tried o punch through what I could without turtling. Got some fun rides, but paid the price for ridding all the way in. Got some really fun ones towards the end. Lost traction on one steep turn and almost pulled off an unintentional layback. Surfed mostly at the point that straddled the swim zone on the north.

4/18 AM

Time: 9
Location: Pipes
Tide: +3 and falling
Direction: 217
Size: 2-3
Board: Double Eagle
Water Temp: 60
Wind Conditions: None noticed

Comments:
Weather is getting nice, so I figured PB would be crowded. I headed up the coast and checked TP, but it wasn't looking good. Ended up stopping just south or Pipes because I was worried about the tide dropping too much. I caught a few little guys and got some complements on my board from a guy that had just ordered a Mitsven version of a hippy pin. I couldn't stay long though because it was crowded and there where three folks that paddled out right on top of me that were doing a lot of "coaching", but not a lot of surfing.

Went and checked out the new office and then looked around at bikes.
