Again with the idiot kiteboarder... I did get a few big ones from the outside, but just a mess of people on the inside took away from some good lines. Waiting for the last wave took a while.

I drove down to turmo, but had to turn around when I thought that I forgot my rash guard. I thought it might have fallen out when I was trying to make the new cooler fit in the Pathfinder. It's too big and I ended up taking it out and putting it back in the house. Anyway, by the time I got down to Turmo people were already leaving. Turns out there's a contest and no parking. So I ended up going home and walking down. When I did get down there, some guy tried to rope me into taking the bouy out. The thing was pretty big and had an anchor and there was no way I was putting that on my board. Some other guy tried to swim it out and it looked like he had problems.
When I finally did get out, it was already getting crowded because they had taken a good chunk of Turmo for the contest. I did grab some fun outside waves and sat right on the bouy.

Walked down to Turmo with Alison. I got four rides pretty quickly. The first three where came quickly and then a long wait to finish up this quick session. Again, sat outside and picked off the quality set waves. I pulled off some powerful turms (for me anyway). Fun stuff, but called it early to give my right shoulder some rest. Picked up a nice loose fitting rash guard from Costco today and used it for this session. The arms felt loose, but it was not iratating.

Time: 4:45
Location: Old Man's
Tide: -2?
Direction: 221
Size: 2-4, sets to 5.
Board: Sunset
Water Temp: 63
Wind Conditions: Nothing noticed (Santa Anna warm)

Lowest tide I have surfed at Old Man's. Saw rocks I didn't know existed. Ran into rocks... luckily no dings or cuts! I was surprised to get a few quality rides. As usual for this area, longboarders were all over the waves before I could get in 'em. Had a few close calls with this bearded guy. Well, nothing too closed because I was wasn't on a longboard - less to avoid. On my way down saw a guy who had a bucket full of starfish. On the way back up, I couldn't help but admire the scene. I was thinking I would be able to picture the scene when I'm 90.
