6/7 AM
Time: 6:30 ish
Location: OB Pier
Tide:
Direction: 219
Size: 2-3, 4'
Board: Wedding board with Speed Dialer
Water Temp:
Wind Conditions:
Comments:
Not as good as I thought it would be. There were some good ones, but it was like the tide was too high. I was hoping for better... spoiled? Anyway, the were a few I got that were great and workable. Loving these new fins.
North looked to be breaking better. I did check Turmo on the way out, and it wasn't looking good. Should try another spot next time on a high tide.

6/3 Lunch
Time: Lunch
Location: Turmo
Tide: 1? 0?
Direction: 219
Size: 1-3
Board: Pill
Water Temp: 64?
Wind Conditions: None noticed
Comments:
Some fun sets coming through, but you had to be patient.
Very odd hail on the way back to work from lunch! I've never seen hail in San Diego. There was some thunder and lightening too.

5/14 Lunch
Time: Lunch
Location: Work
Tide: +4?
Direction: 219
Size: 2-4, 5'
Board: Bonzer
Water Temp: 63
Wind Conditions: some texture
Comments:
Fun stuff, not as much power as yesterday. Got better rides on the Bonzer, maybe because it has more weight. Not as many people out today either.

5/13 Lunch
Time: noon
Location: Work
Tide:+3?
Direction: 219
Size: 2-4
Board: Pill
Water Temp: 63
Wind Conditions: windy
Comments:
Felt a bit bigger than 4. Lots of people out, most of them talented shortboarders. I did find a little grove, but had to keep an eye on my lineup because the current was pushing south. End up on a great right. Dropped into a few that were too fast or just junked out. It was a bit sloppy, with rides getting swallowed up and some nasty brown rips.
Rinsed off at the surf rental spot, and the guy said "anyone that rides a Mike Smith is welcome to use the shower."

5/12 PM
Time: 6ish
Location: Turmo, Old Man's
Tide: 0 at 8, probably +5 when I got out there
Direction: 219
Size: 2-4
Board: Wedding board
Water Temp: 62
Wind Conditions: none really noticed
Comments:
First sunset session in a while. Not a lot out there at Turmo, work was looking too closed out. I think the tide was just too high for the fish. Although, towards the end, I did figure out a good spot and got some really fun, steep & fast rides... considering the conditions.

10/28 AM
Time: 8 AM
Location: Work
Tide: +5 and still going
Direction: 219°
Size: 2-3'
Board: Wilken
Water Temp: 62°
Wind Conditions: Pretty glassy
Comments:
There were a few big sets, but mostly smaller stuff. Fun rides though. Wilken has that longboard glide. Bigger sets were sneakers that caught me off guard. Duck diving is possible, but a little tough on bigger waves. I had to remember how to turtle, felt like a mouse hanging on to a cork.
Wife comes home late tonight, so last night bachelor living for a while. No more eating mac & cheese out of the pot while lying in my underwear on the couch... Also, I think I'm going to leave Wilken at work since I'm out of room at home.
