Got some fun rides. Had a group of foam boarders come sit under me for a bit. Got dangerously close to injury in one closeout.

Headed out around none to see if Devo was out there. I didn't see him, but there were several folks out there. Some fun waves with some good size. It was windy, but still fun.

Got disappointing news that I would not be considered for the manager post, but that they were bringing back an old employee. Should have just gone surfing, but ended up at work until 8 and for what?

Felt a bit bigger than 4. Lots of people out, most of them talented shortboarders. I did find a little grove, but had to keep an eye on my lineup because the current was pushing south. End up on a great right. Dropped into a few that were too fast or just junked out. It was a bit sloppy, with rides getting swallowed up and some nasty brown rips.

Rinsed off at the surf rental spot, and the guy said "anyone that rides a Mike Smith is welcome to use the shower."

Got a comment on a guy about my farmer jon. They guy said it reminded him of the 70's. He was wearing a hood.

Got some fun one. The board felft so light and responsive. Waves were perfect for a fish today and I was able to pull off a lot of moves.

Found out today that our company is moving up to Sorrento Valley today. Some building off of Lusk... Office Space here we come.

First post work sunset session in a long time. I forgot how fun it is to get out of work and surf. There were a several shortboarders out and the waves were borderline closeout, but I got some great rides. Only one left though. I had to kickout several times, but also was able to stay on the board and hop over a few right before they closed out. Last wave was a great right that involved a lot of directional changes to keep in the right part of the wave.

It was so warm last night that I slept with the doors open. Turmo was looking flat and flooded. Keith was heading out about the same time as me and so we chatted for a bit. The surf was really fun considering the tide. Some almost barrels out there, but not really heavy. Little mushy like a summer day (tide?). I just wish I had more time and didn't have to work.
