Went to TP with Alison. First beach trip in the Fit. We could have easily added the inner tube with the fish and chair. Surfed with no leash today. I was getting some really fun rides and tried to motion for Alison to take some pictures when the getting was good. The magic window closed by the time she go the hint.

We grabbed some sandwiches from Henry's and went to beach. Good stuff. Then I went and surfed for a bit. Some fun sets rolled through every 10 minutes or so.

Adam and Courtney had a camping spot at San Elijo. We drove up and parked in the day lot and spent a few hours hanging out with them and surfed with Adam, Mike and Carl. Well, not really what I would call surfing, but it was fun to hang out. Got a little chilly when we were at the camp site afterwords (I was kold).

Comments:
A lot smaller and coming from the south. You could really tell a difference just looking at the waves. Got some fun ones, but it's a lot harder to maneuver when it's slow.

Shelby and Alison came walked down with me and took a few photos. Honestly, it did pick up a bit after they left. No, really! Got a bit of a late start which resulted in a quick session. I got several good rides, but it was closing out on the inside (odd for Turmo). The tide was high and there you could feel the backwash.

First time on the new double eagle! Finally got the board. I was a little disappointed not to have gotten it this past Friday, and I really had to followup with them today to get it. That being said, I'm just really impressed with the way the board turned out. The tint turned out just how I imagined it would. She's my biggest board at 9' 6" and my heaviest at 20 lbs. What a ride! I snagged my first wave with very little effort and road it a good distance. She's nice, stable and goes where I wanted. I had several rally long rides and only once didn't have a graceful landing.

Comments:
Talked to a guy with a beautiful blue tint Skip Frye Double Eagle for a bit at the stairs to Old Man's. I asked him if "that" was a double eagle and he just kind of shrugged. And then pointed out a Skip and mentioned his friend was on a really nice pink board. I couldn't really tell because of the glare, but it was really nice out.

Then I walked down to surf and saw Skip loading up for the day. A lot of people were getting ready for the game (spoiler alert: San Diego loses). I had a fun longboard day and got some loooong rides. Tried to take videos, but nothing too solid, photos really show how nice it was though... like a summer day.

Current was strong, pushing north. I went in at the pump house and ended up right in front of the bathrooms by the time I got out. Size wasn't as big as I was expecting, but it was still fun with some good drops. I was the only one out for a while and got some really fun rides. They were a bit too mushy to connect really long rides though. I did sneak a couple of long ones in. Also saw a big full rainbow. Merry Christmas!

3 TO 4 FEET INCREASING TO 6 TO 8 FEET THIS EVENING WITH MAX SETS TO 10 FEET.

Pretty stormy, yet really fun surf. Waves would just jack up out of nowhere and connect to other little waves. It was like being at a skate park. No one else was really out save for a few beginners. Perfect!

Small and low tide, but grabbed a few fun rides. Alison and I took some xmas card photos. We had our summer gear on and got a lot of stares and we were called polar bears by one couple on the way back up the hill. Air and water temp were tied at 62.

Met up with Adam at San Raf and surfed for a couple of hours. Not the best consistency-wise, but the ones you did get were great. Mushy, long rides, workable faces... Feet got a little cold towards the end. Lots of seaweed on the inside.

Really fun rides. Get in, head to the nose, get back when the speed picks up and work the wave. Longer rides than normal. Very nice, clear and warm.
